Abu Dhabi: His Highness president Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call today from Syrian President Ahmed Al Sharaa.
During their conversation, the two leaders discussed the strong fraternal ties between their countries and explored ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation for the benefit of their peoples, according to the source.
They also exchanged views on various regional developments of mutual interest.
Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to supporting efforts that align with the aspirations of the Syrian people for stability, development, and prosperity.
In turn, Al Sharaa expressed gratitude for the UAE’s continued support for Syria, highlighting the country’s stance on safeguarding Syria’s sovereignty, stability, and territorial integrity.
He also commended the UAE's role in fostering regional peace, particularly amid the region's growing challenges.
